Lost Horizon Vintage US Window Card (1937) - ORIGINAL RELEASE
This epic adventure film involves a British diplomat (Ronald Colman) arriving via an airplane crash in the mythical valley of Shangri-la just as World War II is about to start. Directed by Frank Capra, it went massively over budget and almost sank its studio Columbia Pictures, but was well received and earned Capra a Best Director Oscar nomination, as well as two wins, for art direction and editing.
The art was created by James Montgomery Flagg, who was famous for designing WWI posters, some of which we carry.
This is a VERY RARE item.

Mounted on board.
The card has been remounted on board and the top re-attached. All of the borders have been airbrushed and there is color touchup to the letters in Capra's and Colman's credits. Some of the background artwork has been touched up as well and the poster still has many fine wrinkles present on the surface.
