"Must Children Die" Liberty Bond WWI Home Front Poster by Henry Raleigh (1918)

"Must Children Die" Liberty Bond WWI Home Front Poster by Henry Raleigh (1918)

Artist Henry Raleigh once more uses his characteristic heavy line drawings and dramatic text to sell War Bonds. Shows a pleading mother and clinging babies with empty dishes perhaps meant to depict hunger.

Size*: 30" x 40"
Condition: Very Good

Rolled. Linen backed and restored. Poster had crinkling and edge wear smoothed out in linen backing. Large horizontal tear in the middle from the left, but very hard to see in the busy image. Striking poster and will display beautifully.
