WWII recruitment poster featuring art of a damaged United States flag flying at half-mast over a burning background by Allen Saalburg. December 7th, 1941 is the day that the Naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, was attacked by Japan, bringing the United States into World War II, and this poster was designed to encourage people to enlist in the military.

Size*: 22" x 28"
Condition: Good to Very Good

Folded. Has been stored flat, smoothing fold lines. The poster has creases and tiny tears along portions of the blank borders and there is some separation at the bottom of the vertical foldline that enters the image area. It has small blank corner loss at lower left. Good candidate for linen backing. Great strong colors.
